Tarragona - Eine Zusammenfassung

Der Campingplatz von „Los Alfaques“ ist ein beliebtes und viel besuchtes Urlaubsziel. Ausgelassene Urlauber, Familien, Gruppen, Pärchen und Singles. Viel Haut, Spaß und Ausgelassenheit am Strand. Die pralle Sonne, das Wellenrauschen und das fröhliche Krakeelen der Kinder machen „Los Alfaques“ zum paradiesischen Badeort. Nichts scheint dieses Idyll zerstören zu können.

Menschen im Urlaub. Das ist Erholung, Spaß und Harmonie. Doch im Urlaub kommen auch Probleme zutage, die in der Routine des Alltags ausgesessen oder verdrängt werden. In der Urlaubszeit werden Gefühle, Ängste, Hoffnungen und Wünsche gleichsam unter verschärften Bedingungen ge- und erlebt. Wenn in einer solchen Situation das Leben selbst in akute Gefahr gerät, muss sich jede getroffene Entscheidung direkt mit der Ewigkeit messen lassen. Alles Unausgesprochene und Unerledigte droht zu einem lebenslänglichen Fluch zu werden. In der Ausnahmesituation besinnen sich die Menschen auf das, was ihnen wirklich wichtig ist. Die sonst so selbstverständliche Option, etwas nachholen zu können wird zur Kostbarkeit. Verzeihen können nur die Lebenden! Es sind diese schrecklichen, unvorhergesehenen Unfälle und Katastrophen die jederzeit passieren können, die uns Menschen den Wert des Lebens veranschaulichen. „Tarragona“ erzählt die Geschichte einer solchen Katastrophe.

Da ist die junge Patchworkfamilie auf dem Weg in die ersten gemeinsamen Ferien. Da ist das Teenagerpärchen, das erstmalig ohne Wissen der Eltern gemeinsam in Spanien zeltet. Da ist der schwer kranke alte Bundeswehroffizier, der sich in seinem letzten Urlaub noch mit seinem schwulen Sohn versöhnen will. Da ist die unglückliche Ehefrau, die im Urlaub von ihrem dominanten Mann betrogen und gedemütigt wird. Und da ist der Fahrer des LKW, der ohne sein Wissen dramatisch überladen wurde. Und dessen Sohn, der versucht, die Katastrophe zu verhindern…

Teil 1 erzählt die Erlebnisse der Urlauber bis zur Katastrophe.

Teil 2 verfolgt die Erlebnisse der Protagonisten nach der Katastrophe.

 
The "Los Alfaques“ campground is a much-loved, much-visited holiday destination. Reveling holidaymakers, families, groups, couples and singles. Lots of skin, fun and frolicking on the beach. The blazing sun, the rush of the waves, the carefree racket kicked up by the children are what make "Los Alfaques“ a seaside paradise. Nothing seems able to destroy this idyllic scene.

People on holiday: relaxation, fun and harmony. But holidays bring to light problems which are normally put up with or buried in the day-to-day routine. On holiday, feelings, anxieties, hopes and wishes are, so to speak, lived and experienced under intensified conditions. When, in situations like these, life itself is thrown into deadly danger, every decision must be made directly in the face of eternity. Anything unspoken and unfinished threatens to become a lifelong curse. In extreme situations, human beings turn to what is really important to them. The otherwise-so-obvious option of making good for something becomes precious. Only the living can forgive! It is the terrible, unforeseeable accidents and catastrophes, things that can happen at any time, that demonstrate to people the value of life. "Tarragona" tells the story of one such catastrophe.

There's the young, patchwork family on the way to their first holiday together. There's the teenage couple, tenting in Spain together for the first time without their parents' knowledge. There's the old and terminally ill military officer who, on the last holiday of his life, wants to reconcile with his gay son. There's the unhappy wife whose dominating husband cheats on and humiliates her. And there's the driver of the truck that, without his knowledge, has been drastically overloaded. And his son, who tries to stop the catastrophe from happening.

Part 1 tells the story of the holidaymakers up to the time of the disaster.

Part 2 traces what happens to them afterwards.
